I have a friendly
approach but I will train you; I need to get the best out of
you just as you need to get the best out of me.
I like to work
outdoors for the cardio fitness training as this provides a
varied training environment making for a much more enjoyable
experience. But I can also train you at your home or at a
location to suit you or even at your current gym, providing
this can be arranged with the gym manager. I have plenty of
equipment should you need a training session at home.
Training sessions
with me never get boring and I always go out of my way to
make my clients as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Why use me?
I am quite
different than most personal trainers around today. I
actually have vast amounts of hands on practical experience
and not just certificates and glossy qualifications that
suggest nothing about my training ability. I am not a gym
based based trainer. Around 90% of my training is done
outside.
A lot of trainers
today teach training disciplines that they know very little
about. So called ‘fight training’ programs when the trainer
has never embarked on proper fight training. Military style
boot camps when the closest the trainer has been to any sort
of military training is playing a computer game. Why would
you want to pay someone to teach you things they know
nothing about? We can all learn the theories behind training
styles but unless the trainer has lots of practical
experience in these styles then they should not teach them.
Furthermore it is unsafe practice. They simply do not know
what they are doing.
When choosing a
trainer whether it be me or someone else please make sure
they have true high level practical experience before paying
them your hard earned cash.
I use training
regimes, programs and techniques that I have learnt in my
many years of practical experience. I have trained to a very
high standard, competed in world record events and undergone
some seriously tough training. I have never been one to shy
away from a training session or a challenge.
I consider myself
a proper fitness trainer. I will get you fit, lean and
strong in a very short amount of time with lasting results.
No other trainer in this area can offer you the same amount
of experience, practical knowledge and quality of training
that I can. You will not only get the training you need but
also the knowledge required to keep yourself fit and
healthy.
What type of clients do I train?
My training
sessions are catered individually so even if you are a
complete beginner you can benefit from my style of training.
Each client is
progressed through training according to their current level
of fitness.
I have trained
athletes and military as well as complete novices and all
age groups ranging from children to the over 70’s.
I use a four level
structure to determine what stage you start at. However you
may fall in between levels as below is just a general guide.
LEVEL 1 – Beginner
Very little or no
exercise experience, not very active
LEVEL 2 - Intermediate
Exercises now and
again and is fairly active
LEVEL 3 – Advanced
Exercises on a
regular basis, plays sport and is very active
LEVEL 4 - Military and Athlete
Trains to an elite
standard, lots of experience in hard training, plays sport
competitively, in the military or has military experience to
a high level.
Whatever your
level of fitness, your current weight, body shape, age or
gender then I can offer you the best training available to
get you as fit and healthy as you can be.
I have a different
approach to every single client. Some clients like a harsh
training session which involves me shouting a lot, other clients
prefer a softer approach and then you get clients that like
a mix of everything. You won’t know what you like until you

Dynamic Tension Training
Using the bodies own internal
tensions ( muscle against muscle ) to work the muscles to a high
intensity level. This can be used in conjunction with core training,
strength, stability and endurance anaerobic training. Helps correct
movement pattern distortions, posture control and flexibility of
joints and muscles. Increases in muscle size and strength without
the need for weight training. This is something quite unique to
myself in the general personal training field, I do not know of any
trainer to use this most valuable training discipline.

children and adults with disabilities in a sports coaching role as
well as working with underprivileged children and those with severe
obesity issues.
