We have all suffered
from some form of ailment or injury that can unfortunately
affect us both physically and mentally. Losing strength,
flexibility etc can take it's toll on the human body as well
as your ability to remain positive and concentrate on
recovery.
Whatever you injury or
ailment is, be it a knee injury, a recent operation or even
a c-section during child birth it is important that you
always seek medical advice before embarking on an physical
activity that is likely to be a risk. My advice here is to
see your Doctor as the first point of call and should the
necessity arise you may need to consult a Physiotherapist
or other such health care professional before you go jumping
in to 10 mile runs across the north downs!!
After your suitability
has been established by your Doctor, and you want to return
to training, you will need to take things easy until you
start getting back into the full swing of things. As a
very professional personal trainer I use a consistent,
systematic and progressive approach that has the least
amount of injury risk, ensuring that you regain your fitness
levels without further damaging yourself in the process. I
can work with your Doctor or Physio to make sure you are
doing exactly what the Doctor ordered to enable you to feel
comfortable and most importantly get you on the road to
recovery. |
